Frequently asked questions

What is ScriptShelf?

ScriptShelf tracks the logistics of your PBS scripts and repeats: when you need to fill a script, how many repeats you have left, and when you'll need a new script from your GP. It is not a dose-scheduling or medication-adherence app.

Is ScriptShelf medical advice?

No. ScriptShelf has no dosing advice, no interaction checking, and no tapering plans. It only handles script and repeat logistics. Always follow your prescriber's instructions, and speak to your chemist or GP about any questions regarding your medication.

What's free vs. Pro?

Cabinet (free): up to 3 medications on a single profile, with full script and repeat tracking, fill logging, a daily tick and inventory countdown, and reminders for fills and new scripts.

Pro ($3.99 a month, $29.99 a year, or $94.99 once-off): unlimited medications, family profiles, cost tracking with PBS Safety Net progress, eScript token attachments, CSV export, iCloud sync, and custom reminder lead times.

Why does it cost money when some similar apps are free?

Some medication apps are free because a chemist pays to keep you as their customer. ScriptShelf isn't funded that way. Change chemists, use more than one, or travel, and your medication record stays with you either way.

Is ScriptShelf affiliated with any chemist or pharmacy chain?

No. ScriptShelf is independent and isn't sponsored by any chemist or pharmacy chain.

Is my data private? Where is it stored?

Your data is stored on your device by default. iCloud sync is optional, under your control, and only available on Pro. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing. See the full privacy policy for details.

How do I add a medication?

Scan a paper script with the camera, on-device text recognition reads the details so you can review and edit them before saving, or enter everything manually if you'd rather.

How do repeats and reminders work?

Logging a fill decrements the repeats remaining on that script. ScriptShelf tracks fill-due dates and script expiry, with optional reminders for each. It won't nag you with per-dose alarms: at most one nightly nudge, plus heads-up reminders for fills and new scripts.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Through the App Store, the same as any iOS subscription: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If ScriptShelf isn't recognising a purchase you've already made, use Restore Purchases in the app's own Settings.

How do I contact support?

Email support@suitesystems.com.au. A real person reads and replies, usually within a day or two.
