Accessibility in FundGauge
We want FundGauge to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use VoiceOver, Voice Control, larger text or other assistive technology. This report says what we have actually tested, what we have not, and where FundGauge still falls short. Read it alongside our accessibility commitment.
Last tested 5 November 2026, app version 1.2
Overview
Every feature has one status, and the status is the whole claim. These are the recorded statuses for FundGauge. They are not a score, and none of them is a guarantee that the app works for everyone.
1 known limitation is documented in this report. Read them.

Accessibility features
Each feature is described, given its recorded status, and followed by the evidence and observations behind that status. Nothing is rated higher than the checking behind it.
Tested We have tested this on a real device and it works.
-
VoiceOver
Every control has a clear label, state and action, read in a logical order.
Plan cards, category cards and forecast cards are read as one sentence (name, amount left, status). Decorative rings, bars and sparklines are hidden from VoiceOver. Headings, buttons, expanded or collapsed state and hints are set. Apple's automated audit finds no missing labels on the main screens.
Tested on iPhone 17, iOS 27.1, app version 1.2, 5 November 2026.
-
Voice Control
Every control can be operated by saying its name.
Every control can be tapped by the name shown on screen. Tested on an iPhone 17.
Tested on iPhone 17, iOS 27.1, app version 1.2, 5 November 2026.
-
Larger Text
Text scales to the largest accessibility sizes without being cut off or overlapping.
All text scales with Larger Text, including the largest accessibility sizes, and wraps instead of cutting off. Side-by-side rows stack on top of each other at those sizes. Checked on an iPhone 17 at the largest size across the app, including the Pro upgrade screen.
Tested on iPhone 17, iOS 27.1, app version 1.2, 5 November 2026.
-
Reduce Motion
Non-essential animation is removed when Reduce Motion is on.
With Reduce Motion on, the onboarding drawings appear at once, and screen changes and the expanding note skip their animation. Standard iOS screen transitions follow the system setting.
Tested on iPhone 17, iOS 27.1, app version 1.2, 5 November 2026.
-
Touch targets
Controls are large enough and spaced well enough to tap reliably.
Buttons and rows are at least 44 by 44 points, including the filters on Invoices, the Close button on the upgrade screen and the participant switcher. Apple's automated tap-target check passes on the main screens at normal and largest text sizes.
Tested on iPhone 17, iOS 27.1, app version 1.2, 5 November 2026.
Built in and checked Built into the app and covered by our automated tests and Apple accessibility checks. Not yet confirmed by hand on a real device, so we do not call it tested.
-
Contrast
Text and controls are readable, including with Increase Contrast switched on.
The colour palette was chosen to meet WCAG AA, and Apple's automated contrast check passes on the main screens. That check can't measure text sitting under the translucent tab bar or keyboard, so those areas have not been confirmed.
-
Differentiate Without Colour
Nothing depends on colour alone to carry meaning.
Budget status (On track, Watch, Over and so on) is always written as a word in the status label and in what VoiceOver reads, not just shown as a colour. The pace marker on the progress bars is a shape.
-
Charts and graphs
Every chart has a text summary that carries the same information.
FundGauge has no interactive charts. Its progress bars, rings and monthly sparklines are hidden from VoiceOver, and the same figures are spoken in the sentence on each card.
-
Subscription and purchase screens
Everything needed to choose, buy and restore is accessible.
The upgrade screen has a labelled Close button, headings, and each plan is read as one item with its price and any saving. It was checked at the largest text size on an iPhone 17.
-
First-run setup
Onboarding can be completed with assistive technology.
The intro can be skipped at any point. Progress dots are not read as buttons. Apple's automated checks pass through every setup screen at normal and largest text sizes, and the intro respects Reduce Motion.
Known limitation We know this does not work well yet. See the limitations below.
-
Dark Mode
The app is comfortable to read in both light and dark appearance.
FundGauge is always light. It does not follow the system Dark Mode setting.
Not yet assessed We have not looked at this yet.
-
Switch Control and keyboard
The app can be operated with Switch Control or a keyboard.
No evidence has been recorded for this feature.
-
Errors and alerts
Problems are announced clearly, not just shown.
No evidence has been recorded for this feature.

Every status in this report comes from checking the app, not from assuming the platform handles it. Tested means we tried it by hand on a real device. Built in and checked means it is in the app and covered by our automated tests and Apple's accessibility checks, but we have not yet confirmed it by hand.

Known limitations
-
Known limitation
No Dark Mode
FundGauge always shows its light appearance, even when the device is set to Dark Mode. This can be uncomfortable for people who are sensitive to bright screens.
Workaround: Turning down the screen brightness or using Night Shift or Reduce White Point (Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text Size) softens the light screens.
